Summary:

This is exclusively for dental staff at the Albuquerque IHS Dental Clinic [AIDC].

Presentation is designed to enlighten medical/dental professionals on DEA regulations and to discuss the current situation with pharmaceutical drug abuse and how providers can be proactive to recognize and prevent abuse/diversion of controlled substances by patients. The presentation will be made up of a PowerPoint Presentation along with videos to be played during the presentation.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

1. How to recognize the "Red Flags of Diversion"
2. How to communicate with other professionals - ie. pharmacists; and
3. List the documentation required by DEA

Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
