Summary:

For Portland Area only: This course will provide CDE on providing dental care for elders, motivational interviewing when working with elders, and ways to work with elders to improve the oral health in the entire community.

Learning Objectives:

1. List 3 ways that dementia might affect your dental treatment and education for the elderly.
2. Identify 3 ways to adapt oral health care for caregivers of the elderly.
3. List 3 ways that elders could improve the oral health of the entire community.

Please Make Checks Payable to: Indian Health Service.

Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
