Summary:

Selecting appropriate pre-established notes in a templated format to create a summary Clinical Note ensures consistent documentation of procedure steps, materials used, patient consent and interaction, and significantly reduces typing errors when compared to free-text typing each Clinical Note without any guidelines. This process also ensures appropriate abbreviations, dental terms and phrases are used to comply with regulations and reduce time required for Clinical Note preparation. With clinical note templates, providers are far more likely to maintain a comprehensive, detailed and accurate Clinical Note record with using clicks of the mouse.

Utilize Clinical Note Templates in Dentrix:
•   Navigating the clinical note template window
•   Group prompts
•   Explore the existing templates that come pre-loaded in the IHS version of Dentrix Enterprise

Creating new clinical note templates:
•   Creating templates with the handouts given prior to the webinar
•   How to edit and customize categories

Using prompts in clinical notes:
•   Understanding how prompts work
•   Using existing prompts
•   Creating new prompts

Learning Objectives:

1.   Learn how to create Clinical Note templates in Dentrix
2.   Learn to use at least three common Clinical Note templates
3.   Learn how to modify prompts in Clinical Note templates for individual providers / clinics

Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
