Summary:

This multi-part course is designed to orient new dentists in the Indian Health system on standards of care related to dental public health, endodontics, infection control, operative dentistry, oral surgery, orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, periodontics, and prosthodontics.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of these modules, participants should be able to:
1. Broadly describe standards of care related to different dental specialties;
2. Identify national specialty consultants for follow-up questions and consultation; and
3. Implement best practices in IHS or tribal dental programs based on course content.

Prerequisites:

Participants should be dentists who have entered the Indian Health system within the past five years.

Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
