Summary:

Join us at the Minneapolis Convention Center on May 6-9, 2019. The theme is "Better Health through Better Partnerships." The Symposium is sponsored by the PHS Commissioned Officers Foundation for the Advancement of Public Health. Dental Category Day, open to all USPHS Dentists [Commissioned Corps, Civil Service, Tribal] will be held on May 8, 2019.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this multi-session course, participants will be able to:
1. Provide statistics to describe the opioid epidemic in the U.S. as it pertains to oral health;
2. Describe the history of the USPHS Dental Category, now in its 100th year; and
3. Discuss the contributions made by dental therapists in the Minnesota Dental Therapy model.

ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry. Prerequisites:

Participants must be USPHS dentists - Commissioned Corps, Civil Service, or Tribal hire - who have an existing CDE account in the IHS system.

Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
