Summary:

This course will include data review and writing reports for Health Directors and PDSAs to work towards increased access and decreased referral of young children to private pediatric dentists. This session will include the development of customized work flow charts to support this initiative. Additionally, minimally-invasive-dentistry will be further promoted with discussions about materials and how to promote this practice with other dental providers.

2.   Develop a report to share progress with local Health Directors and other health providers and community members.
3.   List 3 strategies to encourage other dental providers to adopt minimally-invasive dentistry.

Prerequisites:

Participants should be Portland Area dental staff participating in the Baby Teeth Matter initiative.

Please Make Checks Payable to: Indian Health Service.

Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
