This session will focus on the history of medicine at ANMC, the role of telemedicine in the care and management of chronic diseases [such as diabetes] in patients in remote locations, telemedicine resources, and the future direction of telemedicine.

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
1. Define remote monitoring and telehealth services.
2. Identify tools and resources that can be used for remote monitoring and telehealth patient care services.
3. Describe how remote monitoring and telehealth can improve patient care.
