Summary:

Co-sponsored by the National Indian Health Board [NIHB] and the Southern Plains Tribal Health Board [SPTHB], “Tribal Oral Health Services During COVID-19" is a webinar that will provide an overview of dental clinic best practices within the Indian health system, including guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention [CDC]. Oral health practitioners from Tribes across Oklahoma will speak on how their clinics are operating during the global pandemic, steps they are taking to protect patients and providers as facilities begin to resume normal operations, services they are offering through virtual teledentistry, and how they are managing reimbursement and third party billing issues.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
1.   Understand IHS and CDC guidance on oral health services during COVID-19 pandemic
2.   Understand teledentistry billing and reimbursement in Oklahoma and interim guidance nation-wide
3.   Develop best practices for safely reopening dental offices

Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
