Description: This one day Assessment Writing course is designed to cover the basics of survey design, sampling, and implementation in community and public health settings. The course will provide a mixture of lecture, discussion, and hands-on activities. Participants will be introduced to the fundamentals of survey design, tools for locating and developing survey questions for various topics, and tips to developing a paper or online survey form.
Learning Outcomes: By the end of the day, participants should be able to identify reasons to conduct a survey, describe the steps in developing a survey tool, contrast weak and effective survey questions, describe various sample designs, and list the steps in implementing a community survey.
