The Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium's Annual Tobacco Treatment Specialist Training will be held September 24-28, 2018 in Anchorage, Alaska. For this weeklong training, we welcome Judith Prochaska, PhD, MPH who is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at Stanford University as our keynote speaker. Training will include a full day of motivational interviewing and multiple sessions surrounding the biology of nicotine dependence, pharmacotherapy options to treat nicotine dependence, intake assessment and treatment planning, tobacco use and oncology, and additional health impacts related to commercial tobacco use and resources.
