Summary: To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. BASIC REQUIREMENT(S): Individual Occupational Requirement (IOR) Processing, assembling, trouble-shooting, preparing, sterilizing, storing, and issuing sterile and unsterile medical supplies and equipment including the decontamination, cleaning, preparation, sterilization, and storage procedures; aseptic techniques; operating a washer-sterilizer, ultrasonic instrument cleaners, etc. In addition, to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: GS-05: One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the work of the position and equivalent to at least the GS-04 grade level in the Federal service. Examples Include: the sterilization of medical tools and equipment, sterilization testing, packaging of medical tools, use of automated system to track, order, tools and supplies, record keeping and construction of basic reports. -OR- Four (4) year course study above a high school level leading to bachelor's degree with courses related to the advertised position. -OR- Combination of specialized experience and post high school education related to the advertised position with at least two (2) full academic years above the second full-year semester earning at least 60 semester credit hours leading to a B.A. degree. The first Cut-off date for receipt/referral of applications to be considered for available vacant positions will be 10 days after the JOA open date and then every 10 days through the life of the recruit.
