To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. BASIC REQUIREMENT(S):
Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or equivalent from a school in the United States or Canada. The degree must have been accredited by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association; Association of American Medical Colleges; Liaison Committee on Medical Education; Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation of the American Osteopathic Association or accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.
In addition, to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
GS 15: 5 years of graduate training in the specialty of the position to be filled or equivalent experience and training. Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks:
Example of Specialized Experience: Within specific professional knowledge, ability and competency as defined for board certification, advised, administered, supervised or performed professional and scientific work in the field of radiology; interpreted diagnostic x-ray films and fluoroscopic examinations, treated pathological conditions with x-ray, radium and radioactive isotopes; prepared comprehensive interpretive reports of findings; performed or supervised a wide variety of radiologic special procedures as well as the more common diagnostic roentgenolgic procedures in a hospital according to established medical staff by-laws, rules, regulations, procedures and practices relating to health care delivery.
