| Summary: | OPEN UNTIL FILLED: You must meet the requirements of the job by 11:59 pm (Eastern Standard Time) of the cut-off date(s) as indicated below: The first Cut-off date for receipt/referral of applications to be considered for available vacant positions will be March 22, 2024, and every Tuesday thereafter. To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. BASIC REQUIREMENT(S): Education Bachelor's or graduate/higher level degree: major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position. This degree must be from an educational program from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education(external link) at the time the degree was obtained. AND GS-13: One year of specialized experience at GS-12 or equivalent; Specialized Experience Defined: Advanced experience in troubleshooting, evaluating, configuring, utilizing and training with health information systems/technologies and associated clinical software; advanced technical ability in performing data input, retrieval, and analysis; extensive leadership (e.g., team lead, project lead, management) experience in informatics responsible for improving the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of health care by integrating clinical and information processes in a health care environment. Specialized experience: Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. |
