| Summary: |
Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation, a Joint Commission accredited health center, provides services to a 6,000 square mile area and serves as a referral center for the western part of the Navajo and Hopi Reservation in Northeastern Arizona. Provides professional nursing care for acutely and critically ill patients in accordance with physician orders, and policies and procedures in a highly technical and ongoing monitoring environment. In addition, provides nursing care services in accordance to the scope of a Registered Nurse (RN) as defined by the Arizona State Board of Nursing. |
| Duties: | Develop individualized patient care plans and insure that results are being achieved; Interview patients and family members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans per scope of practice; Provide counseling and education to patients and families or surrogates related to their health care needs; Serve as patient advocate by supporting the basic rights, values and beliefs of the patient. Maintain health records in an accurate, efficient and timely manner; Maintain a high level of expertise and proficiency in critical care and in changing techniques and standards of practice; Will attain knowledge and complete hospital accreditation standards and other regulatory requirements; Participate in the identification of clinical or operational performance improvement (PI) opportunities; Respond to emergency situations including the implementation of life saving procedures, recognize adverse signs and symptoms; Participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of standards of care; Monitor and initiate corrective action plan to maintain the environment of care including equipment and resource material; Supervise activities and delegate tasks of licensed and unlicensed care providers; Performing other duties as assigned. |
| Qualifications: | Education: Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN); OR Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Experience: 2 years of critical care; OR 2 years adult med/surg; OR Completion of a Critical Care Program |
