Access to mpox countermeasures within the IHS:
- The IHS National Service Supply Center has received a limited supply of Jynneos vaccine and the FDA investigational new drug, tecovirimat (TPOXX), for mpox treatment in certain individuals. NSSC began distributing mpox countermeasures in mid-August based on need and equity. IHS operated facilities, tribal health programs and urban Indian organizations should work with their Area Vaccine and Therapeutics points of contact and the NSSC to place orders.
