October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month
Domestic violence takes many forms. Abuse can be physical, but it can also be mental, emotional, sexual, and even financial. Resources, including the National Domestic Violence Hotline, are available 24 hours a day. It’s important to learn warning signs and the stages in the “Cycle of Abuse” for prevention efforts.
