Celebrate World Breastfeeding Week!
There are many benefits of breastfeeding for both mother and child. For normal newborn infants, the best thing to eat during the first six months is breastmilk only. The IHS Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative is working to create a healthy start for babies and prevent childhood obesity. There are 11 IHS obstetric facilities that are designated as Baby-Friendly®.
