HRSA NURSE Corps Scholarship Opportunities

Currently, more than 2,200 nurses provide care to IHS, Tribal and Urban Indian Program facilities throughout the United States. IHS is working in conjunction with the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to promote HRSA’s NURSE Corps Scholarship Program and Loan Repayment Program (LRP) as funding alternatives for nurse applicants who do not receive awards from the IHS Scholarship Program or the IHS Loan Repayment Program (LRP). NURSE Corps scholarship and loan repayment opportunities are available to all US citizens based on greatest financial need.

The NURSE Corps Scholarship Program provides tuition, fees and other educational costs (plus a monthly living stipend) to nursing students in exchange for a minimum two-year service commitment at an eligible NURSE Corps site within a Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA).

The NURSE Corps Scholarship Program application cycle is now open and will run through May 5, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. EST.

Please direct interested students to the NURSE Corps Scholarship Program for more information, eligibility requirements and to learn how to apply.
