Be aware and please plan your install time accordingly. ******************************************************************************** GENERAL INFORMATION a) Print the notes file and review carefully, prior to attempting an install of this patch. b) Make sure to capture the terminal output of the installation of this patch. This can be accomplished by using an auxport printer attached to the terminal where the installation is being done. This will ensure a printed audit trail if any problems should arise. c) As with any patch you apply to your system, you should do a full system backup immediately prior to the patch installation. It is imperative that you are sure that the backup finished completely, and that should the need arise, that you can restore from the backup. d) If the Optum credentials are needed, either the controlled release of patch 53 must be installed first or the credentials need to be created manually. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS In all namespaces running Pharmacy Point of Sale: a) This installation requires all Pharmacy Point of Sale and Outpatient Pharmacy users be logged off the system. (There is no need to disable logins.) b) Do routine saves of ABSP*. (Note: Remove these saves from the system 14 - 21 days after this installation if no problems have been noted with the install and functioning of the software.) Use %GOF when saving ABSP globals to prevent restoration problems. (Note: Remove these saves from the system 14 - 21 days after this installation if no problems have been noted with the install and functioning of the software.) Note: Use a very large maximum media size; this will allow for faster saves and easier restoration, particularly of the ^ABSPE global. Continuation file: [ just press enter ] please note the 'M' at the end of all those '9's - that makes a file large enough to hold all of the data without needing a continuation file. d) Load patch and run Verify Checksums in Transport Global using option 2 in the KIDS Installation Menu. Consider using the options 3 and 4 on the KIDS Installation Menu to print and compare the transport. e) Install the absp0100.58k file using the Kernel V8.0 Kernel Installation and Distribution Systems (KIDS) menu while logged into your production UCI in programmer mode. Once you start the install, you must let it run to completion. During installation you will see the pre-answered prompts: Want KIDS to INHIBIT LOGONS during the install? NO// Want KIDS to Rebuild Trees Upon Completion of Install? YES// Want to DISABLE Scheduled Options, Menu Options, and Protocols? NO// It is advised to accept the default answers by hitting the key at these prompts.
