Installation Notes For ACHS V 3.0 Patch 12

1.  GENERAL INFORMATION

        a) Sites have reported several problems in CHS.
		1) The special vendor report is crashing with an <UNDEF>
		   error.  A variable naming probelm existed where the
		   variable name ACHSIEN was used instead of ACHSEIN.
		2) After setting up the 2000 CANS and SCC/OCC codes,
		   they are not able to select them for new POs.  A new
		   procedure must be established in order to allow sites
		   to enter codes and select them without software pathes.
		   There is a multiple in the CHS COMMON ACCOUNTING NUMBER
		   file for FISCAL year.  This field has been selected as
		   the switch allowing the new codes to be selected without
		   software patch intervention.  A routine to automate the
		   entry of fiscal year for CAN codes Q, D and K as 1998,
		   1999 and 2000 is part of this patch.
		3) Translation of 05024 codes to 19114 & 19214 was required
		   for the HAS system.  This is no longer required for the
		   CORE system and is infact a problem.  Any full cancelation
		   of a CHS document for fiscal year '99 and beyond will not
		   have the 05025 code translated and the dollar zeroed.  A
		   site parameter for the Area Office also controlls the
		   translation of 05025.  This paramter is the 'TRANSMIT'
		   flag.  A value of 'BOTH' or 'HAS' will allow fiscal '98
		   and prior fiscal years to have 05024 transactions translated
		   while a value of 'CORE' will not allow translation on any
		   of the 05024 transactions.
        b) This patch is cumulative of previous patches.
        c) This patch fixes:

2.  CONTENTS OF DISTRIBUTION
        a)  achs0300.12k - KIDS distribution file
        b)  achs0300.12n - This file

3.  REQUIREMENTS
        a)  CHS V 3.0

4.  INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
        a) Disable menu option ACHSMENU.
	b) Backup all ACHS routines using %RS.
		1) D ^%RS
		2) select HFS.
		3) enter save file name such as 'ACHS_SS.19990401'.
		   Where 19990401 is the date the snapshot is created.
		4) enter a comment such as 'Pre patch 12 snapshot'.
		5) select routines 'ACHS*'.
        c) Perform KIDS install of file achs0300.12k.
	d) Run routine ACHSZZ01.  This will report which codes are being
	   updated.  (It is suggested that you get a hard copy of this output)
        d) Enable menu option ACHSMENU.
	e) In the event of an install failure  restore the snap shot
	   file created in step 4.b.
		1) D ^%RR
		2) enter snap shot file name from step 4.b.3.
		3) restore all routines.
