Installation Notes For ACHS V 3.0 Patch 14

1.  GENERAL INFORMATION

        a) The following problems exist in CHS:

		1) The routine ACHSYCS was missing from patch 12 & 13.  This
		   routine allows the retransmission of PO's by date and
		   transaction type.

		2) CHS has been adding CPT, REV and ADA codes to the standard
		   tables.  This has been a real problem since CHS EOBR pro-
		   cessing has been reading the codes from the wrong location
		   in the EOBR record.  Patch 13 addressed the correction of
		   reading the code from the correct location.  This patch
		   removes the ability of CHS to add codes to the standard
		   tables.  When a code in the EOBR file is not found in one
		   of the standard tables (CPT/REV/ADA) this transaction will
		   be treated as an error.

		3) The version of chsftp_main that went out in patch #13 did
		   not change directory to the /usr/spool/chsdata directory
		   and consequently could not find the scripts chsftpepo_core,
		   chsftpepo_fi and chsftpepoeobr to run.  No automated upload
		   or download has been taking place.  This new script when
		   installed will allow the CHS EPO to upload and CHS EOBR to
		   download properly.

        b) This patch is cumulative of previous patches.

		1) There are 75 M routines total.

		2) There are changes to data dictionaries.

        c) This patch fixes:

		1) Routine list:

			ACHSEOB4 -- LAYGO REMOVE FOR CPT/REV/ADA CODES
			ACHSEOBG -- MODIFY WARINGS 18,19 & 33 TO ERRORS
			ACHSYCS --- THE MISSING ROUTINE FROM PATCH 12

		2) Scripts list:

			chsftp_main -- modified for cd to /usr/spool/chsdata

2.  CONTENTS OF DISTRIBUTION

        a)  achs0300.14k  - KIDS distribution file

        b)  achs0300.14n  - This file

	c)  achs0300.14s1 - Installation script

	d)  achs0300.14s2 - CHS main script

3.  REQUIREMENTS

        a)  CHS V 3.0

	b)  IBM RS6000 running AIX and the ksh shell.  Scripts will not run
	    on Microsoft DOS or NT boxes.

4.  INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

        a) Disable menu option ACHSMENU.

	b) Backup all ACHS routines using %RS.

		1) D ^%RS

		2) select HFS.

		3) enter save file name such as 'ACHS_SS.19990401'.
		   Where 19990401 is the date the snapshot is created.

		4) enter a comment such as 'Pre patch 14 snapshot'.

		5) select routines 'ACHS*'.

        c) Perform KIDS install of file achs0300.14k.

        d) Enable menu option ACHSMENU.

	The following step e is for area office installs only

	e) From AIX prompt: '==' is a comment

		== A user with root or super user priviledge must do
		== the following

		1) cd /usr/spool/uucppublic

		2) chmod ug+x achs0300.14s1

		3) ./achs0300.14s1

	f) In the event of an install failure  restore the snap shot
           file created in step 4.b.

                1) D ^%RR

                2) enter snap shot file name from step 4.b.3.

                3) restore all routines.
