Installation Notes For ACHS V 3.0 Patch 15

1.  GENERAL INFORMATION

        a) The following problems exist in CHS:

	   The Explanation of Benefits Report (EOBR) automated
	   process can create duplicate entries in the Purchase Order (PO)
	   document file.

	   The automated change of passwords may not be accepted at the FI
	   due to not enough characters changing from the old password.

        b) This patch is cumulative of previous patches.

		1) There are 7 M routines total (75 from previous patches).

		2) There are no changes to data dictionaries.

        c) This patch:

	   Corrects date of proccess and date of payment entries.
	   Duplicate entry checks corrected for changed file structure.
	   Duplicate entry checks added to check IHS and FI check numbers.
	   Does not allow modifications to the CPT/REV/ADA national files.
	   Gives warning notices for invalid CPT/REV/ADA codes.
	   New and modified warning/error messages.
	   Allows multiple EOBR files for same date.
	   Script chsftpeobr modified to download file EOPV from FI.
	   Script chschg_password modified new password algorithm.

2.  CONTENTS OF DISTRIBUTION

        a)  achs0300.15k  - KIDS distribution file

        b)  achs0300.15n  - This file

	c)  achs0300.15s1 - Installation script

	d)  achs0300.15s2 - CHS script enhancements

3.  REQUIREMENTS

        a)  CHS V 3.0

	b)  IBM RS6000 running AIX and the ksh shell.  Scripts will not run
	    on Microsoft DOS, Window 95/98/2000 or NT boxes.

4.  INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

        a) Disable menu option ACHSMENU.

	b) Backup all ACHS routines using %RS.

		1) D ^%RS

		2) select HFS.

		3) enter save file name such as 'ACHS_SS.19990401'.
		   Where 19990401 is the date the snapshot is created.

		4) enter a comment such as 'Pre patch 15 snapshot'.

		5) select routines 'ACHS*'.

        c) Perform KIDS install of file achs0300.15k.

        d) Enable menu option ACHSMENU.

	The following step e is for area office installs only

	e) From AIX prompt: '==' is a comment

		== A user with root or super user privilege must do
		== the following

		1) cd /usr/spool/uucppublic

		2) chmod ug+x achs0300.15s1

		3) ./achs0300.15s1

	f) In the event of an install failure  restore the snap shot
           file created in step 4.b.

                1) D ^%RR

                2) enter snap shot file name from step 4.b.3.

                3) restore all routines.

	g) Script changes will not be backed out in the event of failure.
