GENERAL INFORMATION a) Make a copy of this distribution for off-line storage. b) Print all notes/readme files. c) If you received this distribution on tape media please remember to return the tape to the originator. d) It is recommended that the terminal output during the installation be captured using an auxport printer attached to the terminal at which you are performing the software installation. This will insure a printed audit trail if any problems should arise. e) This patch first as part of the PRE process, will remove control characters out of the ^ICPT global. g) This patch will then process the CPT and HCPCS code updates for Quarter 3 of FY2012. 2. REQUIREMENTS a) Kernel v 8 or later b) Kernel Toolkit v 7.3 or later c) FileMan v 22 or later d) ACPT 2.12 Patch 1 minimum e) BCSV 1.0 Patch 3 minimum 4. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS We recommend saving the global ^ICPT prior to installation. NOTE 1: Do NOT kill global ^ICPT prior to install. NOTE 2: This patch for CPTs does NOT contain any Third Party Billing fee schedule updates. Do NOT kill global ^ABMDFEE. In all UCI's requiring IHS CPT (see below for sample installation) a) Disable logins or ensure all users are off. b) Load the Global KIDS file acpt2012.02b into KIDS using option 1 on the Installation menu. c) Load the Distribution acpt2012.02k into KIDS using option 1 on the Installation menu. d) Verify the load using option 2 on the Installation menu. e) Consider using options 3 and 4 to print and compare the Transport. f) Install the distribution using option 6 on the Installation menu. g) For results, use the KIDS "Install File Print" option to view/print the "ACPT*2.12*2" entry. 5.
