Inactive CPT: 0004A 9/3/2021: New CPT codes have been established for the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine product and booster dose administration, specific to the lower dose from the existing formulation. These codes are distributed as inactive and will become effective upon receiving EUA or approval from the FDA. Inactive CPT: 91306 0064A 9/3/2021: New CPT codes have been established for the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine product and administration, based on a tris-sucrose buffer rather than the phosphate buffer present in the original formulation. These codes are distributed as inactive and will become effective upon receiving EUA or approval from the FDA. Inactive CPT: 91305 0051A 0052A 0053A 0054A 9/16/2021: CMS established new HCPCS codes effective 7/30/2021, for monoclonal antibodies products and administration used to treat coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). These new codes apply to the revised use of casirivimab and imdevimab for post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) in certain adult and pediatric patients, which the FDA revised the EUA on 7/30/2021.
