**Y2K Patch Notice ** IHS Headquarters West, DIR has to the best of their
abilities and findings,found this package to process 21st Century dates
similar to those of the 20th Century.  All updates dictated from the
findings of continued testing for Y2K related issues will be appropriately
distributed.

1.  GENERAL INFORMATION
	
    a)  Make a copy of this distribution for off-line storage.

    b)  Print all notes/readme files.

    c)  It is recommended that the terminal output during the installation be
        captured using an auxport printer attached to the terminal where the
        installation is being performed OR be captured using a host file.  This
        will ensure a printed audit trail if any problems should arise.

    d)  This patch must be installed before Sept. 30, 1999.


2.  CONTENTS OF DISTRIBUTION

    Patch number one (1) to QAI Management version 1.01 contains a 
    correction to make the code Y2K compliant.  The code uses an imbedded
    2 digit fiscal year in the action plan number.  Starting in FY 2000
    the fiscal year calculation would have been incorrect.  The impact of
    continuing to use the old code would result in further errors.  This
    patch corrects the code so fiscal year will be calculated correctly
    well past Oct. 1, 1999.

3.  REQUIREMENTS

    a)  VA Kernel V 8.0 or later

    b)  VA FileMan V 21.0 or later

    c)  AQAO QAI Management V1.01

4.  INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

    In all UCI's running IHS QAI Management: 

    a)  Do a routine save for the following 1 routine.

        AQAOCID

    b)  Disable AQAOMENU
 
    c)  Do routine restore from the file aqao101.01p, which should restore
        1 routine.
		
    d)  No inits or routines need to be run.


    e)  Enable logins and/or AQAOMENU.
