 1. GENERAL INFORMATION

     a) RPMS tables containing IHS SCB codesets are updated as requested
by the NPIRS DBA, Joseph Herrera, via message dated December 14,
2001. See below in these notes for a simile of the attachment
         containing the changes.

     b) The SCB update requres modification of the definition of the CODE
field (#1) in the "CLINIC STOP" (#40.7) file. In agreement with
the AVA developer, that modification is included in this patch.
The Input Transform for the CODE field is modified from requiring
two digits to allowing any combination of digits and upper case
Alphas. The field length remains at two.

     c) The E codes for the 2002 ICD codes were not included in the
release of AUM 2.1, and are included, here. See below in these
notes for a list of the adds/edits.

     d) Two entries in the LOCATION file comprehensive distribution which
had incorrect Names are corrected in this patch.

     e) Routine AUMICDU has two Published Entry Points (PEP), which were
not internally documented. The "PEP"s are added to two line
lables which can be called by packages outside AUM. The release
notes for ICD UPDATE v 2.1 included the following:
"ICD Update no longer sets the Inactive Flag field (field #100)
in the ICD Diagnosis or ICD Procedure files. A new field, Date
Added, has been added to both files. Routine AUMICDU has been
provided for RPMS applications to determine if a code is active
           on any given date."

      f) A mailman message containing the results of the attempted update
for each change is generated and delivered to the user
performing the update, and to all users holding the following
          security keys:

                  XUPROGMODE
                  AG TM MENU
                  ABMDZ TABLE MAINTENANCE
                  APCCZMGR

      g) Patients affected by changes in LOCATION or COMMUNITY codes will
be marked for export by Registration. Changes in only the name
of the LOCATION or COMMUNITY will not affect export. Inactive
patients will not be marked for export.

      h) The KIDS install is Q'able to TaskMan. Remember not to Q the
install to the HOME device, and I suggest selecting the "NULL"
device. There is no output other than the mail message and to
          the INSTALL file.
