General Information It is recommended that the terminal output of this install be captured on an auxport printer. It is recommended that you read through the entire installation guide before doing this install. Patch 1 changes: This patch corrects a logical syntax error in the routine BDMFUTIL and checks the integrity of the Multiple node in the CMS COMPLICATIONS LIST - REGISTER multiple. This patch provides access to the 2000 diabetes audit via DMS. This patch corrects the name of the register when patients are transferred from a template. This patch adds 'WHERE FOLLOWED' to the basic data that can be edited for DMS patients. Patch 2 changes and corrections: LDL, HDL, CHOLESTEROL and TRIGYLCERIDES automatically added to the DMS DIABETES LAB SUMMARY Added utility to allow user to synchronize CMS DIAGNOSIS LIST ENTRY old diabetes diagnoses with the official DMS diabetes diagnoses entries. Corrected variables in the letter generation utility. Corrected variables that affected the patient lookup in Register Reports. Corrected lookup of the patients current community. Corrected synchronization of the Primary Provider between the CMS Register and the PATIENT file Primary provider. Corrected display of the specific register name instead of IHS DIABETES register. In Patient Management, the Audit uses the 2000 audit if available, the 1999 audit if not. Corrected lookup of mammograms in the radiology file for follow-up reports. Changed mechanism for determining the LAST LAB value for follow-up reports. WHERE FOLLOWED added to the items available in Register Data Added DENTAL EXAM as a follow-up report item and changed lookup to use V EXAM entries instead of V DENTAL code entries. Added the ability to use a search template for the follow-up reports. Added the ability to sort follow-up reports by the type of DMS diabetes diagnosis. Corrected problem that added erroneous entries to the follow-up report list when both the list and follow-up letters were selected for printing. Patch 3 changes and corrections: Allows all users of DMS to edit a patient's problem list via the Patient Management utility. Patch 4 changes and corrections: 1. Various technical programming changes. 2. Allows for insertion of DATE when printing letters. 3. Checks the register for deceased patients and updates status. 4. Automatically edits complications status when complications added. 5. Allows for adding ICD codes when complications added to the complications list. 6. Allows for reports to be run for Type 1 and Type 2 together. 7. Expands report lookup for Htn, Paps and Mamms. Patch 5 changes and corrections: 1. Various technical programming changes; 2. Adds new status of NON-COMPLIANT; 3. Synchronizes all PROVIDER references to use either the NEW PERSON or PERSON file depending on the data definition of the NAME field of the PATIENT file; 4. Allows for various reports to combine Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes; 5. Synchronizes follow-up items with the DM AUDIT criteria; 6. Synchronizes Lab and Immunization Items with the DM AUDIT criteria; 7. Now reflects the 2003 AUDIT and future 2005 AUDIT Criteria; 8. Adds new Menu Option (Edit Primary Care Provider) under the Register Maintenance Menu Option; 9. Diagnosis is no longer a 'required field' on the Edit Register Data Screen, under the Patient Management Option; 10. Added CASE MGR to the Register Data Screen, under the Patient Management Option; 11. Allows a User to change the diagnosis on the Register Data Screen. In the past, both the previous and new diagnosis were displayed; 12. Reversed the display of the Problem Number and the Date of Onset on the DMU Screen so that the User realizes they must have an active problem number before entering a Date of Onset. 13. Removed Diagnosis update from the Register Data Action Item #1 (under PM Patient Management). Replaced Item #20 (Order Entry /Results Dep) with the new Action Item called Diagnosis. This new item allows the User the Add/Edit/Delete multiple diagnosis (similar to item #2 Complications Action Item). 2.
