This will ensure a printed audit trail if any problems should arise. c) The BEDD Version 2.0 Patch 10 release is a non-cumulative build, meaning that in order for it to be installed, the IHS EMERGENCY DEPT DASHBOARD Version 2.0 Patch 9 XML and KIDS release must first be installed. d) The BEDD Version 2.0 Patch 10 release consists of both a Kernel Installation and Distribution System (KIDS) build and an XML build. The XML build must be installed first. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS * There are two builds which need to be installed with this release, an XML build and a KIDS build. In order for the installation to complete successfully, the KIDS build must be installed after the XML build. A post install step in the KIDS build compiles information delivered in the XML build so it must be installed second. If the KIDS build inadvertently gets installed first, continue and install the XML build and then install the KIDS build a second time. XML INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS The XML installation for this release is identical to the installation of the XML installations for previous BEDD releases. The XML build gets loaded using the Import Local option found in the Tools menu in Cache Studio. For a detailed example of this installation process from a previous release, please refer to section 4.2 of the installation Guide and Release Notes (bedd0200.07i) included with the BEDD version 2.0 patch 7 release. The installation steps will be the same except for replacing the patch 7 filename of bedd0200.07.xml with the Patch 10 filename of bedd0200.10.xml. *Note - As with previous BEDD XML build installations, in order to prevent the XML build from getting corrupted, the zipped file containing the XML build should be placed into the location where the XML build will be loaded from and only then should the XML build be extracted from the zipped file. It has been determined that copying or ftping the XML build outside of the zip file will sometimes cause it to be corrupted which will cause the file import to fail. KIDS INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS After installing the XML build included with this patch, you are ready to apply Patch 10 on the RPMS server. This is a standard KIDS install. The KIDS file name is "bedd0200.10k." Copy the file "bedd0200.10k" to the directory where KIDS builds are stored for transfer to the RPMS server. In all namespaces: a) Ensure all users are off of the ED Dashboard application. b) Load the distribution into KIDS using option 1 on the KIDS Installation menu. The distribution was released in a file named "bedd0200.10k". c) Verify the load using option 2 on the KIDS Installation menu. d) Consider using options 3 and 4 on the KIDS Installation menu to print and compare the transport global. e) Install the distribution using option 6 on the Installation menu. There is a post init process for this patch which will recompile the classes and Cache Server Pages of the BEDD application.
