1. GENERAL INFORMATION

     a) Print all notes/readme files.

     b) It is recommended that the terminal output during the installation be
captured using an auxport printer attached to the terminal at which the
software installation is being performed. This will ensure a printed
audit trail if any problems should arise. A log file
(PWD) that captures the install activities at the UNIX level.

     c) Description of changes in this patch:

         (1) Script bapc.script was added to allow the transfer of APC data Via
the BXP System from the Area Offices to the Data Warehouse at NPIRS
             located in Albuquerque New Mexico.

         (2) Script bapc.awk was added to verify APC data integrity and give
accurate counts of APC data transferred to the Data Warehouse
             at NPIRS for accurate accountability.

         (3) Script bxpmenu.1 was modified to allow the transfer of APC data
Via the BXP System from the Areas to the Data Warehouse at NPIRS
             located in Albuquerque New Mexico.

         (4) Script bxpmenu.2 was modified to allow the transfer of APC data
Via the BXP System from the Areas to the Data Warehouse at NPIRS
             located in Albuquerque New Mexico.

         (5) Script bxpmenu.3 was modified to identify Data Transmission Files
with Zero Data content and thus not transmit empty files to NPIRS.

2. Contents Of Distribution

     a) bxp_0100.01n Installation Notes file
     b) bxp_0100.01us File containing UNIX scripts

3. Requirements

     a) Kernel V. 8.0 or later
     b) BXP V1.0

4. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

At Host Operating System (Unix) Level:

     a) Move bxp_0100.01us to the PUBLIC Directory of the System
(usr/spool/uucppublic). If not already in the public directory.

     b) At the UNIX prompt, type: tar xvf bxp_0100.01us
This will untar the file contents:
           1. bxpmenu.1 4. bapc.awk
           2. bxpmenu.2 5. bapc.script
           3. bxpmenu.3 6. bxp_0100.01install

NOTE: The user should be the one that will be doing the BXP exports to
ensure proper permissions are passed through when the application is
executed in a run-time environment. Using the ROOT account is HIGHLY
     discouraged.

     c) At the prompt enter: ./bxp_0100.01install

     d) This script will install the BXP Patch scripts in their appropriate
        directories listed below:

          .../BXP/bin. ex: (.../BXP/bin/bapc.awk)
          .../BXP/scripts. ex: (.../BXP/scripts/bapc.script)

If the install script does not run to completion, correct the problem
and simply run it again. The most likely problem would be incorrect
     directory permissions.

     e) Once installation is completed and correct you may delete the
following files from the Public Directory:
             1. bxpmenu.1 4. bapc.awk 7. bxp_0100.01us
             2. bxpmenu.2 5. bapc.script 8. bxp_0100.01n
             3. bxpmenu.3 6. bxp_0100.01install
