******************************************************************

I. GENERAL INFORMATION

    A. The purpose of this install is to prepare RADIOLOGY V.4.0
       for upgrade to RADIOLOGY V.4.5.

    B. This install consists of Patch 10 and Patch 11

       1. Patch 10 performs two conversions that are needed for
          Patch 11 to be installed.

******NOTE************NOTE*************NOTE*****************NOTE**************
**VIRGIN** installations of Radiology will need to have a node set for
successful installation of this patch. Please see details under the
                    REQUIREMENTS section of this document.
*******************************************************************************

          a. HL7 conversion - moves any existing HL7 data in the
Radiology module to the HL7 module. Radiology HL7 files
are eliminated and Radiology HL7 options are removed.

          b. Contrast Media Allergy data in the Radiology module is
entered into the Allergy Tracking System (ATS) module, and
any Contrast Media Allergies existing in the ATS module for
a Radiology patient is entered into the Radiology module if
             it isn't already there.

          c. The ATS conversion is preceded by a **MOCK** conversion
which perform the conversions on data that has been copied
into temporary globals. The HL7 conversion will not
run if HL7 data is found in the Radiology files. Data
is not expected to be present and a scheduled install
is necessary if it is found. The install will abort with no
affect on data or files if the **MOCK** conversion does not
complete successfully or if Radiology HL7 data is found.

          d. Both the **MOCK** and actual conversions can be restarted in
the event that they do not complete successfully. Please call
             for support.

       2. Patch 11 consists of routines, files and input templates
which are cumulative of all prior IHS RA 4.0 patches.

          a. All VA patches for RADIOLOGY 4.0 have been incorporated
into the RADIOLOGY module with this patch.

             i. Users will not see a lot of functional changes by these
                changes.

ii. Most of the changes have to do with interfacing with
current versions of ATS, HL7, MAS and OE/RR

iii. Each procedure in the Radiology Procedure file (file 71)
will be assigned an "Imaging Type" of RADIOLOGY. This will
have no effect on normal operation unless the imaging type
of a procedure is changed by the Radiology Supervisor.
This is not recommended at this time. In future versions
Imaging Type is an important concept that will be well
                documented.

          b. When a site is set to "ASK PCC DATE AND TIME" the prompt
will now appear when a patient is being REGistered for a
             radiological exam.

             i. Prompts used to appear when a radiological exam was being
REQuested. The date entered might not have been the same
day the actual exam took place, making the exam an
                "orphan" exam.

ii. Sites who prompt for PCC DATE and TIME should take care that
the date entered is the same as the date that the exam
took place to assure a billable exam.

         c. The Women's Health package is now updated with the name
of the interpreting physician when a report is verified.

         d. The option REQ-->USR can now be used to request multiple
exams for a patient from a single prompt

         e. A problem where radiology reports were not being locked
properly has been fixed. This will eliminate the "hang"
that sometimes occurs when a Radiologist is attempting to
verify a report that had been recently edited.

    C. This install took 10 minutes at a site with 55,000 entries in
the Radiology Patient File. Try to avoid peek operation hours as
a precaution. Backing up the required globals can take several
hours for some sites. Consider backing these up the night before
loading the patch if your facility is large or slow.

(accept "yes and disable RA OVERALL after assuring all Radiology Users are
off the system. Options will be re-enabled by KIDS after the install)

(If you have already made sure Radiology users are off the system and will
stay off the system, you can safely answer "no" at this prompt)

        2. You will see messages indicating space is being checked and
globals are being copied for the **MOCK** conversion.

        3. You will see the following messages indicating the **MOCK**
conversions have started and completed successfully:

Allergy Tracking routines are in place. Proceeding with **MOCK** conversion

Starting **MOCK** conversion of Radiology Contrast Media allergy data to the
Allergy Tracking System.

You will receive a screen bulletin at completion.

           HL7 data that was converted.

        7. Allow install to complete and turn off "capture" of the
           installation.

     F. In the event of an install failure AFTER the **MOCK** conversion
has completed, restore the back up files created in step 4 A. & B.
(If install fails before or during **MOCK** conversions, there is
no need to restore because there were no changes made)

        1. D ^%RR
        2. enter snap shot file name from step IV.A.3.
        3. restore all routines.
        4. D ^%GR
