GENERAL INFORMATION Subject: #1002 Header, Form Feed, Search List Fixes Category: ROUTINE Patch Description: =========== This patch includes the VA patch #1 (routine VALM). This IHS patch will be marked in the routines at #1002 to distinguish IHS patches from VA ones. This patch will also include IHS patch #1 (marked #1001). Routine Summary: =============== Routine: VALM On occasion the header code needs to be re-executed when moving between list templates. This fix does that. Routine: VALM0 A new variable has been added: VALMNOFF. If set in a list template's exit code, a final form feed will NOT be performed when leaving the template. This code then kills VALMNOFF. Routine: VALM1 Occasionally, a list template is called where the variable IOSTBM is set but VALM variables are not. The subroutine FULL^VALM1 only checked for IOSTBM. We've added a check for the VALMWD variable it also uses. Routine: VALM40 To reduce confusion among users, we have changed the prompt used by the Search List action. When an occurrence of the requested string has been identified, the prompt used to be "Find Next? YES//". Most users have a tendency to automatically press ENTER even if this is the item they were seeking. The prompt has now been changed to "Stop here? YES//". Only by answering NO will the function continue to look for the requested string. Routine: VALM02P New routine for patch only. Changes version number of VALM package from 1 to 1.0 so the patches will attach to it. KIDS patches require the decimal place. This is the pre-install routine for patch VALM*1.0*1002. VA PATCH #1 DESCRIPTION: Routine: NOIS: Fix: VALM --- The header lines (the two lines between the title line and the column caption line) appear to be truncated following an action after scrolling right. This occurs when a scroll lock has been set at a column position to the left of the right end of the header data. The fix prevents the scrolling of the header lines; unless the header line is longer than the screen display width. This issue surfaced during testing and development of TIU. This patch should not affect any other application; but is issued ahead of the TIU release. 2. CONTENTS OF DISTRIBUTION a. valm0100.02p (KIDS file) b. valm0100.02n (this notes file) 3.
