Information about the webinar presentation:

The Store Outside Your Door initiative, supported initially from a USDA NIFA grant “Helping Ourselves to Health” investigating diets of the Yup’ik from SW Alaska eventually became a statewide initiative highlighting how to hunt, fish, gather (and grow) nutrient dense traditional foods. This led to the Alaskan Plants as Food and Medicine Symposium and other community-based approaches celebrating the rich cultural healing practices of Alaska Native People. This talk will share the story of how this initiative continues to thrive across Alaska and beyond.
