11th Annual Direct Service Tribes National Meeting

"Native Communities Planning Today for a Healthier Tomorrow"

The 11th Annual Direct Service Tribes (DST) National Meeting will be held on July 9-10 in Albuquerque, NM. Please join us as Direct Service Tribal leaders and Federal healthcare officials convene to discuss today's direct health care delivery system.

This 2-day meeting will focus discussions on key strategies and issues facing DST and identify challenges and opportunities. Also provide updates on current legislative actions affecting DST - Affordable Care Act (ACA), Indian Health Care Improvement Act, and best practices for communication and collaboration with IHS Leadership and Tribal Health Programs.

In addition to the invited speakers who will address the General Assembly, we have a wide array of breakout sessions on specific topics of interest to you. Breakout sessions include important healthcare topics: ACA, traditional medicine in healthcare, contract health services, healthcare facility construction, long term care, contract support costs, Veterans Affairs and behavioral health.
