Summary:

All of the Area programs who received funding as part of the Albuquerque/Nashville Area Oral Health Promotion/Disease Prevention FY 2015 Funding Initiative will provide preliminary reports on how they’re progressing on their dental prevention projects. This will in turn provide information to all Area programs on some of the priorities they can set to prevent oral diseases in their population. Specifically, programs will provide a mid-project evaluation on their specific project initiatives, with the final report and presentation to be given at the Area Dental Meeting in June 2015.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:
1. Identify at least three strategies that may help increase access to dental care for high-risk populations.
2. Describe at least one high-risk AIAN subgroup and the disparities in disease burden that make it a high-risk group.
3. Explain in detail the problem, objectives, and activities of at least one of the programs presented and how this project could be carries out in your own program.

Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
