DE0487: Evaluating Qualitative Data
This session will include a presentation on the importance of collecting qualitative data and instruction on interpreting qualitative data through the application of two specific quality-related tools. The Affinity Diagram is a simple tool to organize large amounts of data into natural themes. The Pareto Chart is a data analysis tool that illustrates where to focus your improvement efforts.
Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:
1. Identify the differences between qualitative and quantitative data.
2. Analyze narrative data through patient satisfaction surveys.
3. Apply two quality-related tools to improve quality [affinity diagram and Pareto chart].

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
