AUTHORITY DELEGATED Pursuant to the authority delegated to the Director, Indian Health Service (IHS), by the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Health Management Operations on November 17, 1994, I hereby delegate to the officers listed below the authority to approve and sign Agency agreements initiated or sponsored by IHS Headquarters and Area Offices. The aggregate fiscal year (FY) value of these agreements, including extensions and revisions, cannot exceed $999,999. TO WHOM DELEGATED Deputy Director, IHS AUTHORITY TO REDELEGATE The authority to approve and sign Agency agreements initiated and sponsored by IHS Area Offices and which have an aggregate FY value, including extensions and revisions that do not exceed $999,999, may be redelegated to the IHS Area Directors, without the authority to delegate further. The authority to approve and sign Agency agreements initiated and sponsored by IHS Headquarters Offices and which have an aggregate FY value, including extensions and revisions that do not exceed $499,999, may be redelegated to the IHS Headquarters Office Directors, without the authority to delegate further. RESTRICTIONS AND LIMITATIONS
SUPERSESSION This delegation supersedes the previous Administrative Delegation of Authority #36, “Delegation of Authority to Approve and Sign Agency Agreements,” located in the Indian Health Manual and dated April 6, 2005. EFFECTIVE DATE This delegation is effective on the date of signature.
