Session Information: This session will provide a brief review of the functions of the kidneys, discussion of identification and monitoring of CKD, and describes steps for dietary intervention in CKD. In addition, nutrient profiles of the food groups will be reviewed. Tools from the National Kidney Disease Education Program that can be used to enhance patient education will also be shared.
