How long does it take from the time I apply to the time the EDR is implemented?

This will vary depending upon the availability of your personnel, your site’s overall readiness (hardware, software, and operatory configuration) for both the EHR and the EDR, and the availability of the EDR implementation team and training personnel. There are several steps to the process. First, the EDR Project Manager must establish the readiness level of the site, usually via a site review. Then, once a site’s infrastructure has been qualified for implementation, each site’s implementation date will be determined by a number of factors, including size, location, type of facility, area, vendor availability, site flexibility, etc.
