AUTHORITY DELEGATED

Pursuant to the authority delegated to the Deputy Director, Indian Health Service (IHS), by the Director, IHS, on April 6, 2005, I hereby delegate to the Area Directors the authority to approve and sign Agency agreements initiated or sponsored by their respective Area Office organizations.  The aggregate fiscal year (FY) value of these agreements, including extensions and revisions, cannot exceed $249,999.

This authority may not be redelegated.

RESTRICTIONS AND LIMITATIONS

1. The authority to sign reimbursable agreements with the Office of the Secretary has been delegated to, and is retained by, the Deputy Director, IHS.

2. The aggregate FY value of these agreements, including extensions and revisions, cannot exceed $249,999.

SUPERSESSION

This delegation supersedes the previous Administrative Delegation of Authority #36, located in the Indian Health Manual and dated September 17, 2001, from the Director of Headquarters Operations to the Area Directors.

EFFECTIVE DATE

This delegation is effective upon the date of signature.
