AUTHORITY DELEGATED

Pursuant to the authority delegated to the Director, Indian Health Service (IHS), by the Assistant Secretary for Health, on March 24, 1994, I hereby delegate to the positions listed below the authorities under the Indian Health Care Improvement Act, Public Law (P.L.) 94-437, as amended.

AUTHORITY TO REDELEGATE

These authorities may be further redelegated.

RESTRICTIONS AND LIMITATIONS

1. The Assistant Secretary for Health retains the authority to:

   1. promulgate regulations;
      

   2. submit reports to Congress;
      

   3. establish advisory committees or national commissions; and
      

   4. appoint members to such committees or commissions.
      

2. These authorities shall be exercised in accordance with legislative, regulatory, policy, and procedural provisions.

   SUPERSESSION

   This delegation supersedes the DOA Program #4, dated June 17, 1994.

   EFFECTIVE DATE

   This delegation is effective upon the date of signature.
