Transmittal Notice

BACKGROUND

The purpose of this Transmittal Notice (TN) is to transmit a copy of the Part 3, Chapter 29, "Sexual Assault," Indian Health Manual (IHM).  This chapter establishes a uniform standard of care for sexual assault victims (adults and adolescents) seeking clinical services at an Indian Health Service (IHS) hospital, to ensure their care is culturally sensitive, patient-centered, their needs are addressed, and the community response is coordinated.

Insert the attached copy of the revised Part 3, Chapter 29, "Sexual Assault," IHM, including the chapter Table of Contents, in its place after Part 3, Chapter 28, IHM.  Log and file this TN in sequential order.
