Discontinuing the Eyeglasses Program for Video Terminal Users Who Wear Special Application Eyeglasses
|
The purpose of this memorandum is to rescind Special General Memorandum No. 93-1, "Eyeglasses Program for Video Display Terminal Users Who Wear Special Application Eyeglasses." The Indian Health Service will no longer reimburse employees for the purchase of these eyeglasses.
Based on related guidance and decisions of the Comptroller General, these items are considered "personal items", and as such are not eligible for reimbursement from Federal funds.
