BACKGROUND:

This transmittal forwards the attached Delegation of Authority Memoranda, Subject:  Delegation of Authority to Detail Personnel.  This delegation was changed to allow the Director to redelegate the authority to approve details in increments of 120 days or less to other components within the Department of Health and Human Services with the exception of personnel under the appointing authority of Regional Offices.

MATERIAL TRANSMITTED:

Indian Health Manual, Part 1, Chapter 5 - Delegations of Authority: Subject:  Delegation of Authority to Detail Personnel (Delegation #10) Memorandum from the Director, IHS, to the DHO, dated July 18, 1994; and the Memorandum (Personnel Delegation #10 from the DHO to the Associate Director, Office of Human Resources, dated July 18, 1994.


MATERIAL SUPERSEDED:

This delegation supersedes the subject delegation of authority covered by a Memorandum Blanket Delegation of Authority to the DHO from the Director, IHS, dated September 21, 1989; and the Delegation of Authority Memorandum, Subject:  Delegation of Authority to Detail Personnel (Delegation #10) from the DHO to the Associate Director, Office of Administration and Management, dated January 2, 1991.


MANUAL MAINTENANCE:

File the attached memorandum in the Indian Health Manual, Part 1, Chapter 5, Delegations of Authority, and in the master Copy Delegations of Authority.

Log in and file the Transmittal Notice in sequence.
