Event Information - Date Change

The IHS National Director's Award Ceremony has been rescheduled and will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, DC.

Key Dates

The 2012 IHS National Director's Award nominations must be initiated and signed by the nominator and the award nominee's supervisor, then concurred on and ranked by the Area Director (Areas only) or the respective Headquarters Deputy Director. A complete nomination includes the award justification, and award citation (award book write-up). The Area Award Coordinators will submit all complete nomination packages through their respective Area Director's Office, and all HQ staff will submit nominations through their respective Office Director. Nominations should be submitted to Verly Fairbanks Indian Health Service, Division of Human Resources, 801 Thompson Avenue, Suite 220, Rockville, MD 20852. Complete nomination packages must be submitted by Area Award Coordinators NLT close of business on February 15, 2013, nominations received after this date will be returned.
