Facility:
The Chickasaw Nation Division of Health is made up of Chickasaw Nation Medical
Center located in Ada and four outlying clinics in Purcell, Tishomingo, Durant,
and Ardmore. The Chickasaw Division of Health provides services to over
40,000 Native Americans in south central Oklahoma. The Chickasaw Nation
Medical Center is a 370,000 square-foot state-of-the-art health care facility.
Features include a 72-bed hospital, level 3 emergency department, ambulatory
care facility, diabetes care center, dental clinic, diagnostic imaging center,
women's health center, administrative offices, and tribal health programs. In Fiscal Year 2010, there were 429,648 outpatient visits across all facilities, 2,355 inpatient visits, and 2450 pharmacy therapeutic visits.
Rotational Experience opportunities:
Pharmacy-based anticoagulation and lipid clinics, diabetes education, pharmacokinetics,
drug information, hypertension, journal club, community pharmacy, and administration.
Special features:
Ada is located 81 miles from Oklahoma City and 133 miles from Dallas, Texas,
so it provides the advantages of small town life, but big-city amenities are
just a short drive away. Ada is home to Wintersmith park for year round
enjoyment. Ada also has a country club for golf and tennis fans.

a tribal program that has a separate personnel system and application process. Contact

CHICKASAW IS A TRIBAL LOCATION AND UTILIZES AN ALTERNATE HIRING/APPLICATION PROCESS FOR RESIDENCY THAN THE OTHER I.H.S. SITES. CHICKASAW IS PARTICIPATING IN THE ASHP MATCH.
