1 1 Direct Patient who of his own volition is seen in clinic and admitted to Inpatient Care at the same facility. Also includes all non-physician referrals, PHN, etc.
1 2 Transfer Non-IHS Transfer from a Non-IHS Inpatient facility to an IHS Inpatient Facility.
1 3 Transfer IHS Transfer from one IHS Inpatient Facility to an IHS Inpatient Facility.
1 4 Referred A patient who is seen as an Outpatient at any facility and then referred to an IHS Inpatient Facility at another location.
1 5 Other Any admission that does not fit the above categories.
