Status: Exempt Full-Time Worksite: Santa Rosa, CA Department: Executive Reports To: SCIHP Board of Directors Application Closing Date: Monday, March 28, 2016 at 5:00pm Salary: $79,227 - $103,000 [1.0 FTE] Per Annum
Duties: Job Purpose: Compliance/Privacy Officer establishes and implements an effective Compliance Program to prevent illegal, unethical, and improper conduct. Functions as an objective body reviewing and evaluating compliance issues/concerns within the organization. The Compliance/Privacy Officer acts as staff to the CEO and Governing Board by monitoring and reporting results of the compliance efforts of SCIHP and providing guidance on matters relating to the daily operations of the clinic and complies with all local, State and Federal rules and regulations. The Compliance/Privacy Officer, together with SCIHP’s Corporate Ethics and Compliance Committee implement necessary actions to ensure achievement of the objectives in the clinic’s compliance program.
Qualifications: Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in business, public health or five [5] years equivalent experience. • Minimum of five [5] years in healthcare organization. • Certified in Healthcare Compliance preferred. • Familiarity with operational, financial, quality assurance, healthcare laws, regulations and standards, human resources procedures and regulations is a must. • Experienced to accurately utilize personal computer with proficiency in Microsoft Office, which should include Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Visio, project Management and Power Point. • Knowledge in Electronic Medical Records. • Working knowledge of data privacy laws [e.g. HIPAA], and ability to identify and resolve security, reliability and efficiency problems. • Project management and time management skills. Special Qualifications: Must be sensitive to the needs of the Native American Community, which includes their culture, traditions, behavioral patterns, and background. Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience.
