The San Diego American Indian Health Center (SDAIHC) is seeking a full-time Internist, Med-Peds Physician or Family Medicine Physician, with a passion for the underserved, to join the team as a primary care provider as soon as possible. In this position, you will care for a diverse patient population, and have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in an outpatient only setting with minimal rotating telephone call. SDAIHC is a 100% office based practice and a patient centered medical home, providing comprehensive primary care through our medical, behavioral health, dental, and community outreach departments. Duties: Provide comprehensive, appropriate, culturally sensitive patient care Adhere to the highest quality standards and guidelines of patient care Participate in clinic program development Provide mentorship to mid-level providers as needed Providing a full range of family practice/internal medicine and/or pediatrics services Emphasize health promotion and disease prevention Participate and contribute towards meeting organization's targets for all quality metrics
Qualifications: D. or D.O. Board Certified (preferred) or Board Eligible (considered) Physician Specialty: Internal Medicine, Med-Peds, or Family Medicine Experience working with low-income, underserved populations in community clinics with demonstrated commitment DEA License and active unrestricted CA State Medical License Graduate from an accredited school of medicine and successful completion of an accredited training program in given specialty Authorized to work in the United States Candidate will be required to successfully complete a probationary period
