The Rocky Boy Health Center recognizes and respects the holistic and unique structure of the Chippewa Cree and will remain dedicated to their health needs. The Rocky Boy Health Center is seeking Physician's Assistant-Certified to provide a full-range of rural medicine in a diverse health care setting. This position will staff the Rocky Boy Health Center, which is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and closed on weekends. There are no on-call responsibilities. |
| Duties: | • Provide direct medical services to patients involving the performance of diagnostic, preventive, or therapeutic services in patients in outpatient clinic, urgent care clinic and hospital. • Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat, prevent illness, disease, or injury. • Order, perform, interpret tests, analyze records and reports, and analyzes information to diagnose patient's condition. • Collect, record, and maintain patient information such as medical history, reports, and examination results. Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) is preferred. • Monitor patient's condition and progress, and reevaluate treatments as necessary. • Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments as necessary. • Coordinate work with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other allied health professionals in the provision of a variety of health services. |
| Qualifications: | • Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies or related degree from an accredited program. • Possess or have the ability to possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician's Assistant in the State of Montana.
