October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month
We can end domestic violence. Practicing healthy relationship behaviors can be a goal for everyone. In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, IHS encourages tribal communities to reflect on what healthy relationships look like and take action to model positive behaviors. The IHS Domestic Violence Prevention Initiative expands outreach and increases awareness by funding projects that provide victim advocacy, intervention, and community and school educational programs.
